Description
Eddie Borysewicz (Eddie B) led the U.S. cycling to prominence in the 1980s with 30 world championships, nine Olympic medals and 15 Pan American medals. He coached and helped Steve Hegg, Alexi Grewal, Rebecca Twigg and the two most prominent U.S. cyclists in history — Greg LeMond and Lance Armstrong.
In 1988, he left the United States Cycling Federation and helped Tom Weisel launch the Subaru-Montgomery cycling team, which later became Montgomery-Bell, U.S. Postal Service and finally the Discovery Channel Pro Cycling Team.
